HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE WILL GO ON
Canceled last year because of budget cuts, private sponsors have made it possible for the thousands who watch the Boat Parade to again do so on December 20^th 2008 starting at 6:30 pm at the C-15 canal (Boca-Delray line) and moving south along the Intracoastal Waterway. The sponsors to thank for allowing this 31-year old event to go on include Summit Brokerage, The Boca Raton Resort & Club, Loggerhead Marina, Florida Inland Navigation District and Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County and The Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District. In the last 12 months 64 homes closed ranging from a 2 bedroom 2 bath banked owned property that sold for $47,000 (on the market 98 days) to 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath 3298 living sq ft pool home that sold for $362,500 (on market for 51 days).
